AJAX is Asynchronous JavaScript And XML.

As you can see from name it is a combination of Javascipt and XML.

The beauty of Ajax is we can update a webpage without even reloading it.

We can request data from server and send data to server in the background.

Lets create a file named ajax-sample.php with following code.

Now the page looks like as follows

Now if we click on view document the page ajaxview.txt will open on the same page without refreshing browser or changing URL address.
